Who Won Superbowl VI

sb 6Super Bowl VI was a game played by the American Football on January 16, 1972.  It was held in New Orleans, Luisiana at the Tulane Stadium. It was played to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion, it follows the 1971 regular season.  The Dallas Cowboys, National Football Conference (NFC) champion (14–3) defeated the Miami Dolphins, American Football Conference  (AFC) champion (12–4–1), with a score of 24–3 to grab their first Super Bowl Championship game. 

The Cowboys took control of the game, setting Super Bowl records for the most rushing yards (252), most first downs (23), least total yards allowed (185) and least points allowed (3). The Cowboys are currently the only team to prevent an opponent from scoring a Super Bowl touchdown.  Roger Staubach a Cowboy quarterback completed 12 out of 19 passes for 119 yards, threw 2 touchdown passes, and rushed 5 times for 18 yards and was named the Most Valuable Player of the Super Bowl.
