Titans Switches QBs

November 1, 2009 by Sherry Ingram

Vince YoungBud Adams the owner of the Tennessee Titans wants Vince Young switching from the veteran Kerry Collins as the starting quarterback as their team is still winless.  Jeff Fisher the Titans coach announced the move Thursday after practice.  Fisher said that the switch was a decision made by the organization as a result of the teams 0-6 start.  Young is a 2006 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.  Fisher said that this is a unique situation they are in now and that they have not won any games yet.

This will mean that Young will start against the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3) on Sunday.  This was the team who send him to the bench in the season opener of 2008 where two of his passes were picked and he sprained his knee.  Since then Collins started 20 of the 21 games.  Young has 33 career interceptions and 22 touchdown passes.  He also won five of his last six starts and as a starter is 18-11.  Against the Jaguars he has three touchdowns and eight career interceptions.
