Rebuilding the Chiefs

For quite sometime, the Kansas Chiefs haven’t been performing well and there are currently on the path to rebuilding their team. One of their first move to turn their organization around is to recruit the Arizona Cardinals’ offensive coordinator, Todd Haley, as their head coach.
While Todd Haley is a great addition to their team, there still is a lot to do to improve the team. It’s just a beggining of a team rehabilitation program.
Another thing that they have to deal with is running back Larry Johnson. They still don’t know what to do with him, and a trade would be difficult. His age, along with what comes with him off the field would make him of less value, and the Chiefs wouldn’t get much in return. A better option for them would probably to release him.
They also need to fill the quarterback position. They have the number 3 pick, so they would be able to get someone like Mark Sanchez. If ever Tom Brady is able to play, then they probably have a chance of getting Matt Cassell.
The Pro Bowl Beast

The AFC once again faced the NFC in another exciting Pro Bowl. A collection of all the best talent in the NFL where seen playing together and against each other, which is probably the highest level of American Football in the World. Some would only play for fun, some would play to win, others would simply dominte.
Larry Fitzgerald has had a phenomenal season. He was such a headache for the defense, that even against the Steelers, he was still able to unleash his fury even though he was covered for most of the Superbowl. Now that he’s playing in the Pro Bowl, he once again proved that he can destroy the defense, even if that defense is a collection of AFC all stars.
It was because of him that the NFC won against the AFC, and he became the first Cardinal in history to ever become a Pro Bowl MVP. He caught 5 passes, and gained 2 touchedowns. If that’s not monstrous enough, he’s catched at least a touchdown for the last 7 games he’s played.
It was just right that he was named Pro Bowl MVP.

Two teams will be facing off at a potentially epic battle this coming Superbowl Sunday. So many stories surround the players and the coaching staff of these two teams, and indeed it will be a night to remember. If ever the Pittsburgh Steelers pull off a win, they would enter the history books as the only team in NFL history to win 6 Superbowls. If the Arizona Cardinals lead by the time the game is over, they would get their first ever Superbowl championship in franchise history.
These two teams have travelled different roads to get to the Superbowl, but both have endured certain obstacles. It was a tough battle for the Steelers throughout the season, since their division has teams that are over .500 . Still, they would come up with enough wins to get them to where they are right now.
The Cardinals on the other hand, had a relatively easier time. They are playing for the NFC west division, and this is indeed the easiest division in the NFL. Still, they went through some tough competitors in the playoffs and seem to be well poised to give a good fight on Superbowl Sunday.
The Superbowl Diet

It’s time for the Superbowl once more, and parties will definitely be held on almost every corner of America. When it comes to Superbowl parties, you’d probably think of the food aside from the game itself. Whenever the Superbowl comes near, there is always a significant rise in the sale of chips, beer, and soda. It doesn’t take any expert nutritionist to tell you that these are bad for your health.
Ok, so the consumption of alcohol is acutally ok, if it’s done in moderation. The thing is that it’s done in unison with other unhealthy food, and there are some of use that just can’t stop taking chips from the bowl. If you are conscious about your figure, there are a lot of way to stay fit and still be able to enjoy Superbowl party festivities.
One of the ways is to be as active as you can before the Superbowl. This would mean that you have improved your metabolic rate, so you’re body will be able to process the food that you will be eating. Another way is to jog or do a physical activity before breakfast that day. That would mean you having your metabolism jump start so you will be burning a lot more calories for the rest of the day.

Heart of Leinart

The Superbowl is one of the best things an athelete could ever experience in his career. Whatever role you might have for your time, it would truly be an honor to be a part of something special. This is something that only a few people will ever experience in their lifetime, that’s what it’s such a big deal.

Everyone knows that the Arizona Cardinals have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, and this is lead by Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald. For those who were able to see the NFC Championships, it was such a treat to see these two compeletely destroy the Philly defense. While these guys are the heart and soul of the team, there are other people in the sideline that would love to play a bigger role; one of these people being Matt Leinart.
Leinart is the back up quarter back of Arizona, and since Kurt Warner has proven to be truly effective, Matt just does not see a lot of playing time. That’s why he feels like he’ll be on the bench when it comes to the most important game of his life. He is surely happy for him and his team mates that they have gone this far, but he would probably love to return and this time be a starter.
Stopping Fitzgerald

Anyone who has seen the NFC Championships has seen how Larry Fitzgerald destroyed the Carolina and Philly defense. His speed, height, and leaping capabilities made it look like he had super human strength. Some may think that Fitzgerald is a mutant or an alien that no human can stop, but stopping him indeed isn’t as difficult as people may think it is.
Whenever you have a problem, the best thing to do is locate it’s source, isolate it, and deal with it directly. When it comes to American Football, the source would be the quarter back. As long as the Steelers put much pressure on Kurt Warner, they should be able to contain Fitzgerald easily. He may be a very good catcher, but there’s only so much you can do when the QB constantly dishes out bad passes.
This doesn’t mean that the stealers have to get a sack or an interception every time. All they have to do is to put a lot of pressure on Warner, so that they’d be able to force an amount of errors and turnovers. I would indeed be very afraid if I knew that 3 or 4 300 lb men were out to tackle me.
The Neglected Arizona Defense

Now that the Superbowl is coming up, everyone has been talking about the obvious: the Steelers defense against the Cardinals offense. Of course, these factors are a big issue as the Steelers have always been known for suffocating the offense, and putting much pressure on the opponents quarterback. The Cardinals on the other hand, have shown such superior offensive capabilities this season, with Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald leading the way.
The thing is that people tend to neglect the Arizona defense. Ok, so it isn’t such a spectacular defense, and it’s one of the worst defenses in the NFL, but there are certain things that people tend to forget. Their defense this season has been at it’s best since I don’t know how long, and they wouldn’t have gone this far if their defense had been as dismal as their previous seasons.
Another thing is that the Steelers offense isn’t grade A either. Indeed their defense is one of the best the sport has known, but it simply overshadows their offense. This way, it won’t be as difficult to defend against them as with other teams.
So on Superbowl Sunday, it will all come down to the Arizona defense, or the Steelers offense.
The Emotional Coach

Finally, after decades of being the laughing stock of the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals are finally able to reach the Superbowl. There is no question that they have reached the place that they are in right now because of their overwhelming offense. The most obvious front runners of this offense is Kurt Warner, and Larry Fitzgerald. There are also people in the sidelines that are responsible for their amazing offense.

One of the most emotional coaches out their is the cardinals offensive coodrinator, Todd Haley. Thanks to him, the Cardinals now have a chance of getting a Superbowl Championship. When he called out his team and gathered them around before their game against Carolina, he planned on giving them words of encouragement. This is the usual thing he would do before a game, but this time he just could not talk. Instead, he fell silent and went into tears.
During the second half of their game against the Steelers, his emotions went on running again as cameras caught his heated arguement with Anquan Boldin. Boldin was really upset about being taken out of the game, and they went at it but Haley was able to immediately brush it off and concentrate on the game.
