Michael Vick could end up playing for the Buffalo Bills this was disclosed by Tony Dungy which he previously said was discussed signing the quarterback. Dungy was an adviser to Vick since the retirement of the Super Bowl-winning coach from the Colts last season. Now he is a commentator for NBC. Dungy confirmed during the pregame Sunday night show that the Bills and Vick had originally talked when Vick was looking for a team finishing his 18 months prison for running a ring in dog fighting.
The Eagles signed Vick to contract worth $1.6 million for 2009 and a team option for $5.2 million for the second year. Dungy said Michael should just worry about this year. Technically it will be up to Philadelphia. If they want him back, he has to stay there but if they don’t he could look for teams who need quarterbacks like Washington, Cleveland or St. Louis.
Eagle’s Vick Back In Shape

Michael Vick is playing under center and yelling the signals like all the other quarterback. Vick showed a glimpse of his old style. He put the icing on the Philadelphia Eagles’ 33-14 victory against the Buccaneers. He played the final two series and ward off his ribs injury. He heard his name called late in the fourth quarter to play. The Eagles used Vick for the variations of the Wildcat offense after he was recalled by the NFL.
On Sunday, he got his chance to show normal offense when he replaced quarterback Donovan McNabb with the Eagles ahead 31-14 in the fourth quarter. From the shotgun formation, completed a 1-yard pass to Jackson on his first play. The next play did not materialize when Vick failed to find any open receivers. He ran like he did when he was playing for the Atlanta Falcons as Pro Bowl quarterback from 2001 to 2006 and scrambled 11 yards to get a first down.

Michael Dwayne Vick is a professional football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He beforehand played for the Atlanta Falcons for six seasons prior to serving 18 months in jail for his involvement in an illegal dog fighting ring. Vick played at Virginia Tech in college, where as a freshman he was third in the Heisman Trophy balloting. He left after his 2nd year to enter the NFL, and was drafted first overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2001 NFL Draft. In six seasons with the Falcons, he gained extensive popularity for his show on the field, and led the Falcons to the playoffs twice. Vick is known for regularly running the ball, and ranks third among quarterbacks in career rushing yards.
In April 2007, Vick was caught up in an widespread and illegal interstate dog fighting ring that had operated over a period of five years. In August 2007, he pled guilty to federal criminal act charges, and was then sent to prison for 23 months. With loss of his NFL salary and product endorsement deals, combined with earlier financial negligence, Vick filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2008.
Vick Speaks Out Against “Pointless” Dog Fighting

Coming off his first National Football League emergence since being sent to prison for his role in a dogfight ring, Michael Vick spoke out in opposition to dog fighting at a Washington cathedral last Tuesday. Two days after making a short come back for the Philadelphia Eagles as a reserve, the one-time superstar quarterback appeared at Covenant Baptist Church in an appearance sponsored by the Humane Society of the United States of America.
Vick called dog fighting “pointless” and said he did not know why he began funding and providing housing areas for the group, adding that he regretted the decisions that led to his conviction and 18-month prison sentence. Saying he wanted to be an agent for transformation, Vick signed with the Eagles after being dropped by the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year. Ever since he was released from jail, he has been working with that animal group.
Nike: No ‘Contractual Relationship’ with Vick

On Thursday, Nike has said that it does not have a “contractual relationship” with Michael Vick, a day after the quarterback’s agent announced a contract with the manufacturer. According to Yahoo! Sports, Nike said it has “agreed to supply product to Michael Vick as we do a number of athletes who are not under contract with Nike.” Michael Principe, the managing director of BEST, the organization that represents Vick, announced on Wednesday that the Philadelphia Eagles player had a new deal with Nike during a panel discussion at the Sports Sponsorship Symposium.
Joel Segal, Vick’s agent, later said that Vick is looking forward to continuing his relationship with Nike, adding that the player and company had decided not to release conditions of the deal. Nike, which signed Vick as a rookie in 2001 for the Atlanta Falcons, ended his deal in August of 2007 once he filed a plea agreement admitting his involvement in a dog-fighting ring. Who are we to believe the truth now? Nike: No ‘contractual relationship’ with Vick or Vick’s agents?
Michael Vick Past NFL Quarterback
October 3, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
Michael Vick isn’t exactly a past quarterback as he’s come back right now to play for the Eagles but for me he is a “past” quarterback. Michael Vick was arrested for joining a dog fight. He would kill and torture those dogs who lost. Michael Vick is someone who doesn’t have a soul, most of the people say he has changed but I do not believe it one bit. A man cannot change his ways in just one night. He was put to jail for two years. That’s not enough for the sins that he committed. I believe he should’ve gotten at least 5 and a permanent ban in the NFL.
The Eagles should’ve known better before they chose to sign him. The NFL Commissioner should’ve known better. I am pretty sure he must’ve been faking his supposed “heartfelt” sincerity. He shouldn’t be back in the NFL, he shouldn’t be playing for the Eagle. He’s Michael Vick and he’s a criminal.
Good Debut by Vick from Coach Reid

The Eagles Michael Vick will make his presence felt as the team plays their final preseason game and might even take some crack as a conservative quarterback. But how his play will turn out on Thursday against New York Jets in the Meadowlands is still to be seen. Last Thursday against Jacksonville Jaguars.
He was in for six Widlcat plays, he made four throws, one run and handed the ball of to LeSean McCoy once while running back. He was in the field for his sevent play but a time out was called and he never returned for action after the break. This was his first game after over two years. He was in prison for 18 months due to dogfighting ring involvement. The game this week will be his first on road game with the Eagles and this will also serve as his first under coach Reid’s West Coast offense.
Another Chance for Vick Says Irvin
July 22, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
After finishing the 23 month sentence for charges of dog fighting, Michael Vick should be back to the NFL. This is what Michael Irvin the wide receiver NFL Hall of Famer said Monday. If he is not reinstated it will not be fair. Sighting an example from Donte’ Stallworth who only served 24 days of the jail sentence of 30 days for pleading guilty to manslaughter. Vick has to persuade NFL Roger Goodell that he is all set to return. Irvin stated that there must be publicized meetings and if agreed, the suspension must be lifted before the regular season starts.
It is a suggestion by Irvin that Vick will be a great Wildcat specialist for the New England Patriots, working for Coach Bill Belichick. For Vick’s sake, he must get into a strong team with great leadership ability. Irvin is also looking forward to Vick’s elusiveness. It may be lessened but still greater than the rest. Michael was about ten steps ahead of all quarterback in running the ball. It may only be three now but still it is a big difference.
Michael Vick Will Be Free Again
July 20, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
Michael Vick will be back in action to his NFL career after being in federal custody for 20 months due to his dog fighting operation. By Monday, he will be free, this came from the Federal Bureau of Prison. This will mean a meeting with Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL. It is not clear yet if he can play specially now that he is released by the Falcons since June. Goodell stated that Michael made a very wrong thing and that he has paid dearly for it. This is what he said to the Associated Press last April. Another thing is that people are forgiven when they show regret and are willing to live a better life. This is what Michael has to prove to everybody.
Vick was denied by Hudson, the U.S. District Judge since he didn’t show remorse of what he had made. He was even denied the acceptance of responsibility to lower his sentence. His sentence was imprisonment of 23 months. Under the federal law, he must serve a minimum sentence of 85 percent. After 18 months in the federal penitentiary he was transferred to home confinement. Vick was the highest paid athlete in NFL before and now he took a construction job for $10 an hour for several weeks. He was transferred to another job helping in the Boys and Girls club fitness program. For three years he will still be on probation.
Michael Vick A Better Man according to His Dad
June 3, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
Michael Boddie, the father of recently released former Atlanta Falcon quarterback Michael Vick said that his son has learned much from his time behind bars and has learned from his mistakes. He even asked a reporter if they have ever been locked up, and the time spent inside has made the former star reflect on his past misdeeds. This makes him better and stronger as a person and as a man.
Father and son reconciled while Michael Vick was still in prison through letters exchanges between the two. Boddie saw how his son has changed from a casual exchange of letter to ending letters with “love, your son.” The father is glad he is now into home confinement with family and his children. He is sure that the quarterback has paid his dues and now is the time for him to move on with his life. Now NFL, your move to have him back, Boddie challenges the league.
Teams in the Hunt for Michael Vick
February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
Michael Vick would be out of jail soon and would need a job. Once he returns to the gridiron, some teams may want him on their rosters, but not necessarily as the starting quarterback. One of the best teams for him would be the Miami Dolphins as they can utilize the skills Vick has in their formations and old school single wing formations. The strong presence to guide Vick would be head coach Bill Parcells to drive Vick back to form. The basic premise though would be the ego of Vick if he can accept such a back up role under a personality like Parcells.
Another option for Vick may be at St Louis since he personally knows current Rams GM Bill Devanney from their days in Atlanta. The Raiders may also be a good fit, since it has been proven that he cannot thrive with a West Coast offense. Wherever he goes, he needs to get his head back in the game he loves and keep the off field issues to a minimum to be able to showcase his talents with a new team.
