Delhomme Ok But Not Both Fullbacks

November 5, 2009 by Sherry Ingram

Jake DelhommeJake Delhomme a Quarterback of the Carolina Panthers has started to recover from his chest injury.  But still the team is facing a great dilemma, they are playing without a healthy fullback ahead of the game on Sunday at New Orleans.  He was able to practice last Wednesday. It is exactly three days after being hit in the chest while executing a throwing a pass during the game they won over the Arizona Cardinals 34-21.   He was then rushed to a near by hospital for a CT scan test that came out negative for internal injuries.

Meanwhile Brad Hoover a fullback got a sprain in his right ankle during the third quarter of Sunday’s game and was carted off the field. Tony Fiammetta his rookie backup later on in the game also left with a concussion. Both of them missed last Wednesday’s practice.   Other players with injuries are Muhammad Wide receiver (knee), Stewart running back (Achilles’ tendon), Godfrey safety (ankle), Johnson linebacker (shoulder) and Rosario tight end (knee) also did not practice.
